Fatascià is a new company with a very traditional view of winemaking based on decades of experience. Working with expert oenologists, viticulturists and several family-operated vineyards around Sicily, Fatascià produces some of the island's best award-winning but moderately-priced wines. Distinctive reds like Nero'd'Avola and versatile whites like Grillo, made with an attention to quality and detail rarely found in today's quantity-oriented wine market. The wines sold under our Kailà label are meant to be particularly affordable. Our first vintage (2000), reached the market in 2002, with production increasing each year since then, but our team is still small and efficient. We've never lost sight of the fact that (at least for us) making wine is a very personal pursuit. In the last two decades, Sicily's varietals --formerly a well-kept secret-- have become some of the world's most popular wines. Our wines are bottled in San Giuseppe Jato, in the hills overlooking Palermo.
